Welcome to Part 15 - License-exempt Wireless Commnications!

I started this site because there's a fundamental story to be told that underlies much of the wireless communications revolution - how, why, and exactly what is license-exempt communications?

License-exempt spans systems as diverse a Bluetooth wireless earset to a 50-mile point-to-point link. And with all that, it's still cordless phones, and kid's walkie-talkies, and the latest wireless standard for moving high-definition television signals around within a house. Oh, and also Wi-Fi... can't forget Wi-Fi.

So, I'll be exploring the "fundamentals" of license-exempt wireless communications here; the "applications" I'll be exploring in the many other blogs that I write listed on the left.

Also, I'll be diving deep into the theory I've developed for exactly why license-exempt wireless communicaitons works so well - the Darwinian Effect Of License-exempt Wireless.
